În urmă cu 3 zile am găsit pe Reddit o poză cu un profesor pe skateboard. Avea cravata în vânt, adidași, geanta din mână o ținea îndepărtată de corp pentru a se echilibra, iar părul alb mi-a amintit de profesorul din Back to the Future. M-a amuzat enorm imaginea aceasta și ideea în sine, dar nu i-am dat mare importanță. Da, mi-a sărit și mie în gând banalul: „Așa ceva nu e posibil în Romania”.
Însă, ieri am dat de un articol pe Mashable în care am aflat că poza a devenit virală între timp. Are 68 de ani, este profesor la Universitatea din Nebraska și consideră mersul pe jos prea banal, din acest motiv se folosește de un skateboard pentru a se deplasa prin campus.
Tom Winter! He’s my Latin prof. He also teaches Classics and Mythology and maybe Greek. He’s been married since he was 19 and still talks about how much he loves his wife. He loves flying his airplane and tells us we should all be pilots. His motto in class is «questions take precedence» so he always stops to answer your question even if he’s answered it before because his other motto is something like «repetition is the best way of learning». Best prof ever.
